Cap Esterel is situated on a popular stretch of the Cote d'Azur, east of Saint Raphael (between Cannes and Frejus).

In an attractive location on the edge of the renowned mountain / wildlife region of the Esterel Massif and overlooking the Mediterranean, Cap Esterel is unusual among the places listed on this France website - it is a holiday village designed and implemented by Pierre & Vacances, and so has no 'inherent historical interest'...

What it does have is a very fine location and easy access to many of the highlights of the Cote d'Azur. Because it is so extensive and many people select Cap Esterel as their holiday base we have included it here.

The village itself is pedestrianised, very close to the beach, and has all the facilities from impressive swimming pools to sports, a wide range of activites and nighttime entertainment that you would expect of such a village. There is even a 9 hole golf course on site!

Cap Esterel is said to be the largest purpose-built holiday village in France.

Attractions nearby

Even with all these facilities you will want to leave the village sometimes and there is a lot to see nearby!

The nearest beaches are at Dramont and Agay just down the hill from the holiday village, and many others are within easy reach, both quiet small beaches tucked away down paths along the rocky coast and larger sandy beaches.

The massif de l'Esterel around the village has some very impressive viewpoints and walks.

Cap Esterel is also close to Frejus and Saint-Raphael, one of our favourite resorts along this part of coast to the west. The resort of Cannes to the east, and is another unmissable highlight of a visit to the region.
